Take Heart

TAKE HEART PROFILE

Shamrock Thoroughbreds are off ering an opportunity to become involved in the fun and enjoyment of racehorse ownership through the syndication of Take Heart.
Take Heart is a 5yo gelding by Dark Angel who was purchased at the recent Tattersalls Autumn horses in training sale. He is a talented individual and a former winner of a £100,000 Heritage Handicap over 10f at the Goodwood Festival in 2024 off a rating of 95. He is currently rated 88 and looks very well handicapped having been as high as 99 at the start of the 2025 turf campaign.
He is a horse that trainer Stephen Thorne believes “Is well handicapped based on his previous form and we are hoping he will develop into a premier handicap type horse again next year. He operates well on good and soft ground over 10f and he should be well suited to the All-Weather surface at Dundalk this Autumn/Winter before targeting some valuable handicaps on turf in 2026. He is a very good looking grey horse with plenty of size and strength and he vetted very cleanly. He will be sure to give his new shareholders a lot of fun over the next 12 months”.

WHY INVEST

The main reason for purchasing a share in Artful Approach is to get involved with a high class performer who has the ability to win valuable handicaps next season. Artful Approach is an exciting horse we plan to aim at the big summer festivals in 2025.

HOW IT WORKS

The syndicate will be divided into 20 shares of 5% each and each shareholder can buy as many shares up to a maximum of 30% or 6 shares. Take Heart will race under the name of Shamrock Thoroughbreds and will be put into training with Stephen Thorne, Dunboyne, Co. Meath. A WhatsApp Group will be setup to enhance communication purposes between the syndicate manager Stephen Thorne and each of the 20 shareholders.

PLAN

The current plan with Take Heart is to target the 0-100 10f handicap at Dundalk on December 19th. He will be lightly campaigned throughout the Winter months at Dundalk and he may develop into an All-Weather Championships candidate at Newcastle next spring before targeting some valuable 10f handicaps during the 2026 turf season.

DIVIDENDS AND AGM

Each shareholder will receive a statement of accounts at the end of the 12-month term and any prizemoney earned will be divided among each shareholder at the end of the term, 31st October 2026.
There will be a Shareholder’s discussion in early October 2026 to decide if the horse is sold via public auction or put back into training for another 6 or 12-month period.
