Dream Today claimed his second successive win on the beach on Tuesday when landing the Sun, Sea & Tote Guarantee Handicap under Cian MacRedmond.
Having travelled prominently throughout, he made easy work of his opposition when asked and he coasted to victory to win by 1 and a quarter lengths from the Fergal Birrane trained Tamazu.
Speaking afterwards, Ado said, “He’s a good horse and he was well down on his turf rating. He’s back to form and he likes good ground.
He’s a good horse on his day and he will go back to Dundalk. Cian was very good on him.
It is great for the lads who are good supporters of mine”.
Allo Arry made it a double for the team 90 minutes later when Pride Of Place Maiden under Adam Caffrey.
Having settled in behind the early leaders, Adam made his move a little over 2 furlongs out where he battled against the even-money favourite Expound coming into the final furlong and stayed on strongly in the end to lose his maiden tag by a length.
Speaking afterwards, Ado said, “Adam was very good on him. He’s difficult to train and just hard to ride out, but he has done a good job on him – he rides him out every day. Fair play to him, he knows him well.
It was great for the owners, they kept persisting. I think he is well handicapped, he will win a handicap somewhere along the way. He’ll be a nice Dundalk horse for the winter as well. A good, fun horse.”
