Horse profile

Shamrock Thoroughbreds are offering an opportunity to become involved in the fun and enjoyment of racehorse ownership through the syndication of Fast Track Harry.

Fast Track Harry is a 4yo gelding by Harry Angel out of Olympic Runner and this progressive sprinter is currently rated 95. He is a very talented performer with 5 wins from 16 career starts to date and he is being described as a high class 6f sprinter who performs extremely well on good/good to firm and all-weather surfaces. His most recent run was his best performance when winning a valuable £50,000 6f handicap at Kempton off a mark of 92 on 14th October. He achieved a peak Racing Post Rating of 100 and a Timeform rating of 103P for that effort which gives a very good indication that this horse could still be improving. He looks like a horse who has the credentials to target the All-Weather Championships at Newcastle on Good Friday and has the ability to land a valuable Premier Sprint Handicap in Ireland next year given the success of UK sprinters in Ireland in recent years.

He is a horse that syndicate manager Stephen Thorne believes “There could be a big day in this horse and he looks like a very progressive sprinting type based on his most recent win in a valuable £50,000 sprint handicap at Kempton. We plan to target the All-Weather Championships at Newcastle on Good Friday and his main turf targets will include the €100,000 5f Rockingham Handicap at the Curragh on Derby Weekend, the €100,000 6f Scurry Handicap at the Curragh on Oaks Weekend among other valuable sprint handicaps in Ireland and the UK next year”.

He vetted extremely well at the sales and is an extremely good looking horse with plenty of size and strength. He is a high class premier handicapper for next season and has a big future ahead of him. He will compete at all the major flat meetings in 2027 and will give his new shareholders a lot of fun along the way.Stephen Thorne, Managing Director

Why join the syndicate

The main reason for purchasing a share in Fast Track Harry is to get involved with a high class sprinter who has the ability to target the All-Weather Championships at Newcastle on Good Friday and the major sprint Premier Handicaps in Ireland and the UK next year.

The horse will go into training with Stephen Thorne, Dunboyne, Co. Meath. Stephen and his Team won the 2024/2025 All-Weather Trainers’ Championship and has won some valuable and prestigious races in the last 2 years including the Listed Ruby Stakes with Jagged Edge, the €100,000 Autumn Fillies Handicap on Champions Weekend with Pink Oxalis and the €100,000 Mallow Premier Handicap with Gleneagle Bay.

How it works

The syndicate will be divided into 40 shares of 2.5% each and each shareholder can buy as many shares up to a maximum of 30% or 12 shares. Fast Track Harry will race under the name of Shamrock Thoroughbreds and a WhatsApp Group will be set up to enhance communication purposes between the syndicate manager Stephen Thorne and each of the 40 shareholders.

The plan

The plan with Fast Track Harry is to give him a short break with the aim of putting him back into full training in early December and preparing him for 3 races in Dundalk in order to qualify for the All-Weather Championships at Newcastle on Good Friday next year. He will then be given a small break in late Spring with a view to targeting some valuable sprint handicaps on the turf next season including the €100,000 Rockingham 5f Handicap on Derby Weekend and the €100,000 Scurry Handicap on Oaks Weekend.

Dividends and AGM

Each shareholder will receive a statement of accounts at the end of the 12-month term and any prize money earned will be divided among each shareholder at the end of the term, the 31st October 2027.

There will be a Shareholder’s discussion in early October 2027 to decide if the horse is sold via public auction or put back into training for another 6 or 12-month period.
